Ahern's Belle of the Bends is a stunning example of Victorian Italianate architecture built in 1876 by Mississippi State Senator Murray Smith. One of the best-preserved mansions of its type in the state, it is listed as a Vicksburg Historic Landmark and is located in the Historic Garden District. The home is named for a famous steamboat used by President Teddy Roosevelt on a visit to Vicksburg.
